I want to hear from you
Improving Human Override and my latest essay
Hello there!
It’s been a while, I know.
I’ve spent the last month writing a long essay that I felt was much needed in the AI discourse. After I’ve read everywhere this silly statement that AI is the Copernican revolution of cognition, I couldn’t take it anymore and had to set the record straight.
Moreover, I’ve been rethinking what the Human Override has to become and what it is for you now that I am approaching 1,000 readers on Substack (+3,000 on Ln). But I need your input: reply to this email, and let me know:
Why do you read it?
What is the most valuable thing for you?
What am I not writing/doing that you’d like me to do?
And anything else you share. I read and reply to every email.
That said, here’s the long essay that I’m pretty sure you’ll find interesting, and hopefully a spark for discussions and debates with me, with your friends, coworkers and many more!
Why the Copernican Analogy in AI Discourse Falls Short
In the course of a recent conversation with Dwarkesh Patel, the distinguished mathematician Terence Tao proposed that we are living through “a cognitive version of the Copernican revolution,” in which humanity must come to terms with the fact that its intelligence is not the centre of the universe.

I like that you want to do research. It says alot about you. I'm impressed.
I am kind of like a product rather than a book. Maybe it's an event even? I was on medium and while during a year of working with my co-author and answering every question he had, I ended up talking to people and adding 3,000 more followers. The trouble was that none of them were really helping me. They just were enjoying my writing which is not what I'm trying to achieve. So I stopped that experiment and came over here and started over because I thought I would argue about what is wrong with science instead of being positive.
You sound very social and want to grow your audience. It's not just giving them what they want. Sometimes it's giving them what they need? Try researching on this and see if it catches your excitement. Google search: medium Light Orbits, and read my co-authors spectacular chapter called Validation...
